Air-to-water heat pump in full renovation for heating and domestic hot water: customer testimonial
Completed at the beginning of 2025 as part of a full renovation, this installation of a Warmeo air-to-water heat pump now provides, via a centralized system, underfloor heating and domestic hot water production for the entire house. Combined with photovoltaic panels, the solution helps optimize the building’s energy consumption while simplifying day-to-day management.
« The entire home runs on a single system, which is very comfortable in everyday use. And knowing that a dedicated team can remotely monitor the installation is a real added benefit. »

Context & needs
The project is part of a full home renovation, with the aim of redesigning all energy systems. Already equipped with photovoltaic panels, the house provided an ideal setting for implementing a single, centralized system capable of providing both heating and domestic hot water production. The goal was clear: to optimize energy consumption, better utilize on-site energy production, and simplify day-to-day home management.
Implemented solution
The chosen solution was a Warmeo WHL air-to-water heat pump, enabling the centralization of home heating and domestic hot water production within a single system.
Composed of an outdoor unit and a TRLB indoor module, the system extracts heat from the outside air to heat a water circuit that supplies both the underfloor heating and the domestic hot water (DHW) production, with centralized and automated control.
Daily benefits
Better-controlled energy consumption
Stable thermal comfort all year round
Proactive remote technical monitoring
Better utilization of solar energy
A system tailored to renovation projects
The air-to-water heat pump is now one of the most suitable solutions for full renovation projects. By starting from scratch with all the equipment, it is possible to size the emitters (underfloor heating, low-temperature radiators) from the design stage in line with the heat pump’s flow temperatures — which maximizes its performance and energy efficiency.
When combined with photovoltaic generation, it also enables the creation of a coherent and self-sufficient energy system.
Customer testimonial after 1 year of use
What were your expectations for this project?
“I was mainly looking to achieve energy savings and better control of my consumption, with a system that is compatible with the photovoltaic panels.”
Why did you choose Warmeo for this project?
“We were looking for a reliable solution with real support behind it. The fact that Warmeo relies on the expertise of POLYTROPIC, a specialist in swimming pool heat pumps for many years, clearly gave us confidence.”
What does this installation bring you today?
“The whole house runs on a single system — underfloor heating, domestic hot water, and more. It’s convenient to have something that manages everything, and it works very well. And the remote control is a real plus in everyday life.”
Would you recommend Warmeo?
“Yes, strongly. For the ease of use, the reliability of the technology, and especially the remote monitoring by a dedicated team — it’s really reassuring.”

FAQ — Air-to-water heat pump for renovation projects
Yes. The Warmeo WHL air-to-water heat pump features a remote control interface, accessible via a smartphone. You can adjust the temperature, monitor your energy consumption, and track the operation of your system at any time — wherever you are.
The installation of an air-to-water heat pump may qualify for several financial support schemes (in France): MaPrimeRénov’, zero-interest eco-loan, reduced VAT rate of 5.5%… The amounts vary depending on your situation and your home.

Contrary to common misconceptions, an air-to-water heat pump requires little day-to-day intervention. A proper initial setup is usually sufficient in most cases — there is no need to readjust everything with each seasonal change. An annual maintenance check by a professional is still recommended to ensure long-term performance.
